Colorado Mountain Engagement Photos at Brainard Lake

I loved getting to photograph this Colorado mountain sunset engagement session up at Brainard Lake Recreational Area! We had so much fun doing a bit of hiking through the woods, exploring the valleys around the lake and catching the best sunset through the Indian Wilderness Peaks. For this engagement session I photographed on 35mm film and digital, so you get the best of both worlds. The film I used for this session is Kodak Portra 400 and Kodak Pro 100. I’m so grateful to work with such wonderful couples like Kat and Mike and am excited to share this session with you!

If you’re looking for the best engagement photo locations with mountain views in Colorado, you should consider the Brainard lake Area. You can get incredible photos at anytime of day, but the best lighting for photos would be sunrise and sunset. There’s options for longer hikes if you want to go that route or you can keep it pretty much hike free and go to the close by easily accessible lakes.
