Breckenridge Mountain Elopement

A winter destination mountain elopement in Breckenridge Colorado

K & J chose Breckenridge Colorado as their top destination elopement choice. Breckenridge has holds a special place in their hearts as they have both spent time in Breck and feel most at home in the mountains. These two flew all the way in from Tennessee wanting a winter elopement with heaps of snow and the Colorado mountains did not disappoint. For the elopement day we explored downtown Breckenridge for more of a ‘‘town’’ vibe for photos. We made our way over to Dillon Lake for the actual elopement, which by the way is completely frozen over in February. This was a true Colorado experience forging our way through deep snow to find the perfect spot for their vow exchange. We were surrounded by mountains, sunshine and locals cross country skiing across the frozen lake.

We then went back to Breckenridge for a quick brew and time to chat while we waited for the sunset to start. We ended the day way up in the mountains off Loveland Pass where we watched the sunset, explored the pass and took more photos. K and J opted to add on 35mm film for their elopement which makes for a nostalgic vibe and really fun experience day of. I compiled a few digital images to start for this blog post with it ending showcasing some of the 35mm film photos of their elopement. If you’re looking to get married and have a wedding or elopement in Breckenridge, I’d love to hear from you! And for now, I hope these elopement photos inspire you for your own mountain wedding!
